It’s been a busy few months for Shay by Le Portier. The first drop sold out in just a couple of months, and it’s now won not one, not two, not three, but an incredible FOUR awards! We reported on the first three in our last story (link) but this latest one is the one we were waiting for. 

The Spirits Business Awards

Honoring the very best in the world of spirits, The Spirits Business Awards are one of the most sought-after awards in the industry. So to have won Gold in the Design & Packaging Masters 2021 was an incredible achievement for Shay. Though of course, anyone quick enough to get their hands on a bottle from the inaugural drop will know that it’s a well-deserved award. With an award-winning team of designers onboard, Shay’s design was always going to have medal-winning potential. 

But as delighted as we were with this momentous Gold for Design & Packaging, we’re even more proud to have been awarded a Gold for Taste in the VSOP Super Premium (£51-70) category of The Spirits Business Cognac 2022. This is an exceptionally competitive category, and with last year’s winners featuring A de Fussigny Pure Organic and La Milliardaire VSOP Cognac, we were watching the results nervously.

The notoriously discerning judging panel is made up of a panel of leading spirits specialists, in a drive to find and reward the finest Cognac brands on the world stage. The blind tasting takes in a number of categories, each attracting the highest caliber of cognac from around the globe.

But we needn’t have worried, Shay by Le Portier continued its award-winning streak in spectacular style, scooping an incredible Gold in the VSOP – Super Premium category.

For those Shannon and Shay fans who weren’t lucky enough to grab a bottle in the first, limited drop, we have good news… the remaining bottles of the inaugural ‘L’ edition of Shay by Le Portier are now available to purchase online. And while the first release was only available in select states, we’ve expanded the distribution to take in far more states across the US. So good news – you’re likely to find a bottle in your state.
