Silver at The International Wine & Spirits Competition 2022 (IWCS)

Winning Gold in the Design & Packaging Masters 2021 is testament to the skilled eye and dedication to perfection shown by Shannon Sharpe on-and-off the field. But these two later awards honor Shay’s incredible flavor profile. Awarding it a Silver at the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2022, the judges praised Shay’s taste, describing it as “Dried fig and caramel richness with leather nuances and hints of honey. Ripe stone fruit, roasted almonds and velvet tannins leading smoothly to an impressively lengthy finish.” 

We’ve always said that Shay VSOP is actually far more aged than most VSOPs, with a richer, more complex flavor profile than many older cognacs. And this Silver award proves it. Shay scored higher than the 10-year-old Martell & Co Cordon Bleu Extra Old Cognac, the Rémy Martin XO Cognac, and the Courvoisier XO Cognac which all took home Bronze.
