S’more Yak Please!

Chocolate and butterscotch on the nose with a hint of s’mores on the back palate – these tasting notes inspired us to create the ‘S’more Yak Please’ cocktail, a unique way to enjoy Shay by Le Portier.

Firstly let us point out that both Shannon and Jay, the creators of our Cognac, recommend drinking Shay by Le Portier neat, with a droplet or two of spring water.

However, if you were to drink it in a cocktail, we recommend one that’s not too sweet, which would lose the complexity and deep smooth flavor of our Cognac. S’more Yak Please is not your average sugar-loaded creamy cocktail, even though it visually might look that way. The ‘S’more Yak Please’ packs a real cognac punch.

The cocktail

A sweet way to enjoy Shay by Le Portier, the S’more Yak Please features the richness of white chocolate and butterscotch liqueurs balanced by notes of raspberry – but it’s far from your average after-dinner drink. S’more Yak Please packs a real cognac punch for a luxurious way to end – or begin – your evening.

This winter, cozy up by the fireplace, roast a couple of marshmallows, mix a few S’more Yak Please, and enjoy them in good company.

Ingredients:

3 oz Shay by Le Portier cognac

1 oz White chocolate Bailey’s

1 oz Drambuie

Hershey’s chocolate syrup and crushed graham crackers, for the rim of the glass and for serving

Toasted marshmallows, to garnish

Method:

1. Dip the rim of a Martini glass in Hershey’s chocolate syrup then in crushed graham crackers.

2. Add ice to a shaker, then pour in 2 oz Shay by Le Portier, 1 oz Crème de Noisette, 1 oz Benedictine, and 1 oz Crème de Cacao. Shake vigorously until frothy and completely cool.

3. Pour a small amount of the Hershey’s chocolate syrup into the bottom of your prepared Martini glass, then top with the mix from the shaker.

4. Garnish with a toasted marshmallow. Cheers!
